Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the most common questions about Keene Outdoors products, setup, safety, and compatibility.

A:

Both the Omega Lift and the Alpha HD are built to work with most hard sided hunting blinds on the market. Hunters have successfully mounted blinds from Redneck, Banks, Dillon, Muddy, Shadow Hunter, Grizzly, 360 and many other manufacturers.

The Omega Lift comes in two models. The Standard model supports blinds up to seventy nine inches wide, and the XL supports blinds up to ninety one inches. The Alpha HD platform is designed with a wide mounting deck that fits most common bases.

Before ordering, measure the base of your blind and confirm size of trailer needed.

A:

Setup is fast and simple. The Omega Lift can be deployed in under five minutes with two adults working on level ground. The Alpha HD sets up or takes down in less than ten minutes using a loader or tractor.

Both systems are designed for minimal tools and safe operation. The entire process focuses on saving time in the field while maintaining stability and safety.

A:

The Omega Lift raises your blind floor to ten feet above the ground. The Alpha HD platform lifts blinds to a height of eight feet, providing an ideal mix of visibility, scent control, and shooting angle.

Both models offer enough elevation to improve field coverage and safety without creating instability in high wind.

A:

Yes. The Omega Lift can be safely towed with most standard trucks, UTVs, or ATVs. The frame is designed for stable towing on farm roads, pasture trails, and other hunting terrain.  The rubber torsion axles make for a smooth drive at highway speeds as well.

Always check your vehicle’s towing capacity before moving the platform. For best results, secure your blind tightly according to the manual, especially when towing at highway speed.

A:

Yes. The Omega Lift was engineered to move with the blind attached. This is one of the main reasons hunters choose it over traditional towers. You can reposition your setup between food plots or tree lines without removing the blind or rebuilding your stand.

Always keep the Omega Lift in the lowered position when moving, and ensure the tower is securely anchored after relocation.

A:

Each platform is built with anchor brackets that you can connect cables or heavy straps directly to our Easy Anchors for a secure hold. Easy Anchors can be installed with a cordless impact driver in just a few minutes.

Proper anchoring is essential for safety and stability. It reduces sway in strong wind and ensures your blind stays level on uneven terrain. Anchors can be removed and reused when you change locations.

A:

You will need an impact driver if using our Easy Anchors, otherwise, the Omega Lift can be erected with no extra tools. For the Alpha HD, a loader or tractor is recommended to lift the platform into place.

No specialized equipment or professional assembly is required.

A:

Hydraulic systems add cost and require maintenance. The Omega Lift uses a mechanical design that is safer, easier to maintain, and less expensive over time.

The mechanical approach also provides more control and reduces the risk of leaks or failure in cold weather. Hunters who value simplicity and dependability often prefer the Omega Lift for these reasons.

A:

Traditional towers require several people to assemble and carry significant risk when moving or adjusting. The Omega Lift eliminates the need to climb high structures or handle heavy panels.

The platform is stable, quiet, and engineered to prevent sway. The ladder provides firm footing, and the deck allows you to enter the blind safely.

Every weld and joint is designed to support the weight of a full size blind while keeping the center of gravity low and balanced.

A:

Yes. Keene Outdoors platforms cost more because they use thicker steel, American labor, and patented engineering. The result is a platform that saves time, improves safety, and lasts for years.

Many hunters report that the mobility of the Omega Lift pays for itself quickly because they no longer need multiple towers across their property. One platform can serve several spots throughout the season.

A:

Yes. Both the Omega Lift and Alpha HD are designed for use on uneven or sloped ground. The Omega Lift has 15” of travel in each jack, so can be adjusted accordingly to your terrain.  The Alpha HD also has adjustment in each leg to aid in leveling.  The wide base provides stability and the anchor system keeps the platform rock solid. Always check balance before climbing and follow the setup instructions for your terrain type.

A:

Minimal maintenance is required. Keep bolts tight, check anchors at the start of each season, and touch up paint as needed to prevent rust. The heavy duty powder coated steel will last for many years with basic care.
